LEAP YEAR SPECIAL: Group Discount Extended!

February 3, 2012 - In a meeting of the NJNENA conference committee it was decided in honor of leap year we would extend the group discount offer of 3 persons for $450 until February 29th. That's a $150 savings. The committee recognizes that most agencies are not budgeted yet and therefore have not been able to take advantage of the savings. The offer will not be extended beyond February 29th.

Announcing Sponsors and Presenters for 2012 Conference

January 14, 2012 - We have our first sponsors for this years' conference. Returning Gold sponsors are KOVACORP and TCS (TeleCommunications Systems). We would like to welcome for the first time and as a Silver sponsor, COMCAST and many thanks to returning Silver sponsor VERIZON BUSINESS. We hope to attract more sponsors and expect more exhibitors as we get closer to our conference dates. These sponsors help make our conference possible and assist us in keeping attendee costs low. Please patronize them and be sure to visit them at our conference this year.

We have our initial list of presenters and topics for this year that can be found HERE. We are finalizing arrangements and topic with Priority Dispatch to provide our Pre-Conference Workshop on April 10. This workshop will be free of charge for paid 2 day conference attendees, $50 for 1 day paid attendees. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. We'll announce details soon on this website and on our facebook page.

We hope to make an announcement of a keynote speaker in the near future.

Nominations for NJ-NENA Officers

November 15, 2011 - Nomination forms for 2nd Vice-President and Regional Vice-Presidents (North, Central and South) will be mailed shortly. There is a current vacancy in the Southern region that will be filled by this April's election. You can download a form by clicking HERE.

Please read the form carefully. You must be a NENA member to participate and the nominee must also be a member in good standing and meet the qualifications as defined in the by-laws. Contact a member of the executive board with any questions.

Monica Gavio Appointed to Second Vice-President

October 27, 2011 - Due to a vacancy, chapter president Ray Strilec has appointed South Region Vice-President, Monica Gavio to the position of Second Vice-President.

Monica has worked for Burlington County Communications since 1978. She is currently their 9‑1‑1 Coordinator and Custodian of Records. She has been a NENA member since 2001, served as South Region VP from 2004 to 2011, and an Emergency Number Professional (ENP) since  2007.

Monica is a certified PST and State of New Jersey Police Training Instructor.

Joe Goralski found his schedule did not allow him to fulfill his duties and requested to step down from the second VP position. We certainly wish him well and thank him for his service.
