Ray started his dispatching career in 1988 working full time in both Lopatcong Township and Hunterdon County.  In 1990, he started working for Washington Township, Morris County, where he is still employed.  After dispatching for 10 years for Washington Township, Ray was promoted to the position of Technical Specialist in July of 2000.

 As a Technical Specialist, Ray is responsible for the Computer Aided Dispatch, Mobile Data Terminal, radio systems and local area networks.  Ray also provides IT services to other township departments. In 2009, he became the 9-1-1 Coordinator for Washington Township.
