Citizen Hero Award Recipients

Mr. Gary C. Chapman - Assisted in the rescue of an accident victim from a burning vehicle.

Ms. Angela Mercado - Assisted in the rescue of an accident victim from a burning vehicle and transported the person to a hospital. 

Telecommunicator Hero Award Recipients

PST Adam Grant, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department 9-1-1

Assisted in locating persons involved in a boating accident and kept the caller calm and focused while determining the number and extent of injuries.

 

 

PST Louis Howell, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department 9-1-1

Assisted in locating survivor of a plane crash and maintained contact with the caller throughout an hour long search, calming and reassuring him while continuing to assist in the search efforts.

 

PST Nicholas Moscariello, Old Bridge Police Department 9-1-1

Assisted in locating a heart attack victim on a wireless call and provided emergency medical pre-arrival instructions while responding units were in route.

 

PST Michael Baltazar, Old Bridge Police Department 9-1-1

Provided vital information regarding armed suspects to responders and surrounding towns, ensuring the safety of the responders and aiding in the apprehension of the suspects.

 

PST Kathleen Totante, Old Bridge Police Department 9-1-1

Provided vital information regarding armed suspects to responders and surrounding towns, ensuring the safety of the responders and aiding in the apprehension of the suspects.

PST Stephen Seeley, Montgomery Police Department 9-1-1

Assisted in locating a caller lost while hiking with a small child.

 

 

EMD Peter Danzo, MONOC Communications Division

Assisted in locating a suicidal caller while calming and reassuring the caller during the course of a call that lasted for several hours.

 

Senior PST Samantha York, Burlington County 9-1-1

Provided choking and CPR instructions for a 4 month old infant who was choking and stopped breathing.

 

Cristen Peyreferry, Burlington County 9-1-1

Provided pre-arrival CPR instructions to the son of a man who was found bleeding and not breathing.

 

 

PST Tim Vierick, Burlington County 9-1-1

Provided emergency medical pre-arrival instructions for a three year old drowning victim.

 

 

PST Christine Gilbert, Burlington County 9-1-1

Provided pre-arrival CPR instructions to the brother of a drowning victim.

 

 

PST Dori Mial, PST Debra Hencken, PST Josette Pennachi, PST Madelyn Esposito And Supervisor Chris Carol, Burlington County 9-1-1

Worked as a team to locate and assist a caller using a wireless phone who reported taking an overdose and hung up without providing an address.
